Men's golf competes for NESCAC title in Connecticut April 24 to 26

54-hole event begins Friday at Fox Hopyard Golf Club

The Hamilton College Continentals travel to Fox Hopyard Golf Club in East Haddam, Conn., for the 2026 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Golf Championship, which gets started on Friday, April 24.

The 54-hole championship continues on Saturday, April 25 and concludes on Sunday, April 26. The NESCAC champion receives an automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship, which is in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., from May 12 to May 15.
 
Friday's tee times begin at 11 a.m. but Hamilton's group, which includes Amherst College, Trinity College and Tufts University, won't start teeing off until 12:40 p.m. Saturday's and Sunday's rounds begin at 10 a.m.
 
The Continentals have won four conference titles (1990, 1998, 2003, 2022) and finished in third place last year. Two-time NESCAC Men's Golfer of the Year, Ramon Aroca Gonzalez '26, leads Hamilton with a 73.00 stroke average in 17 rounds this season. Jake Hendelman '28, who is coming off a great weekend at the Farmingdale State Spring Invitational, has averaged 73.71 shots in 17 rounds in 2025-26.
