MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Hamilton College Continentals finished in third place out of 12 teams at Middlebury College's George Phinney Classic, which was held at Ralph Myhre Golf Course on Sept. 20 and 21.
Shanya Arasu '28, who was playing in her first tournament for nationally ranked No. 21 Hamilton, and
Amy Lyon '28 tied for eighth place out of 69 golfers at 158. Arasu's seven-over par 78 on Saturday led the Continentals, and Lyon's 78 was Hamilton's top score on Sunday. The final-round 78 tied Lyon's career best.
Keira Joshi '27 tied for 16
th place at 160 (80-80) and
Peyton Sichol '26 tied for 19
th place at 161 (81-80). Sichol was playing in her first event since the fall of 2024.
Kiran Bagga '29 tied for 25
th place at 163 (83-80) in her first collegiate tournament.
The Continentals finished with a 36-hole team score of 637. Hamilton was in fourth place after the first day with a four-person total of 319, but moved up one spot after recording a 318 on Sunday. Amherst College captured the team title with a 622 and Williams College was the runner-up with a 629.
The Continentals compete in the Williams Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 27 and Sunday, Sept. 28.
