Lee '28 begins play in NCAA women's golf championship on Tuesday, May 19

Sophomore is the second Hamilton women's golfer selected to compete in the national tournament

Hamilton College's Aubrey Lee '28 (Oradell, N.J./Bergen County Technical HS) competes in the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships at Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, Calif., beginning on Tuesday, May 19.

Lee tees off on the seventh hole on the Mountain View course at 7 a.m. local time and 10 a.m. Eastern in Tuesday's first round. She starts her second round at 7 a.m. (10 Eastern) again on the first hole on the Firecliff course on Wednesday, May 20. She's in one of the first groups off the tee on both days.

After 36 holes the field will be cut to the top 15 teams and the top six individuals not on one of those teams for the final two rounds. Lee was one of six individuals not from the 34 participating teams picked to play in the championships. She joins Peyton Sichol '26 (2023) as the only Hamilton women's golfers in the NCAA championships in team history.

Lee, who was a 2026 all-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) team selection on May 12, posted an 18-hole stroke average of 76.58 in 12 rounds. After she tied for 33rd place in her first tournament of 2025-26 last fall at Middlebury College, Lee was the individual medalist in the Hamilton Invitational and at the Northeast Invitational, and tied for 15th at the NESCAC Championship in early May.

Lee's best performance this season might have been at the Golfweek Division III October Classic in Miramar Beach, Fla., where she tied for 13th place out of 119 golfers in a field that included seven nationally ranked teams. Lee's 2-under-par 70 in the second round was her best of the 2025-26 season. Her 54-hole total was 224 as she helped the Continentals to finish third out of 24 teams.
