SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Hamilton College men's rowing earned the silver medal for the varsity eight at the 2025 New York State Collegiate Championships held on Fish Creek on Saturday, April 19.
Hamilton, which is ranked 11
th in the varsity eight in Division III, finished first in its five-boat heat with a time of 6:36.810. No. 15 Union College was in the Continentals' heat.
Hamilton moved on to the afternoon's varsity eight final and was the runner-up in 6:23.325. Vassar College took the top spot with a time of 6:19.871. Iona University (6:25.553), Army (6:30.115), Rochester Institute of Technology (6:43.163) and St. Lawrence University (6:43.803) also competed in the final.
The Continentals were fifth out of five boats in the second varsity eight with a time of 7:30.214. Skidmore College won that race in 6:49.110.
Hamilton won't compete again until Sunday, May 11 on Lake Quinsigamond where the NESCAC and National Invitational Rowing Championships will take place.
