AMHERST, Mass. – Amherst College scored five goals in the third period and the Mammoths posted a 9-6 NESCAC win over the Hamilton College Continentals at Amherst's Gooding Field on Saturday, March 8.

How It Happened
- Julia Lee '27 netted Hamilton's first goal 3:03 into the opening quarter with a successful free-position shot.
- Amherst and Hamilton exchanged the next three goals, but Lee put the Continentals ahead 3-2 with 2:18 remaining, capitalizing on a feed from Sarah Creamer '26.
- The Mammoths moved ahead 4-3 with the first two goals of the second quarter.
- Hamilton responded with two timely goals -- one by Alex Orlando '25 with 2:14 to go in the second, and the other by Sydney Anzelone '27 with 22 seconds left. Sarah Stonestreet '25 had assists on both goals as the Continentals took a 5-4 lead.
- Amherst went ahead for good with five unanswered goals in the third quarter.
- Creamer capped Hamilton's scoring, converting a woman-up opportunity on an assist from Avery Trach '27 with 6:50 to play in the fourth quarter.
