The Hamilton College Continentals travel to Amherst, Mass., for a 2025 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Hockey Championship semifinal against Amherst College inside Orr Rink on Saturday, March 8 at 1 p.m.
The other semifinal at Amherst pits No. 3 seed Colby College (17-5-2 overall) against No. 2 seed Middlebury College (19-5-1) at 4:30. The semifinal winners play for the NESCAC title and an NCAA championship automatic bid at Orr Rink on Sunday, March 9Â at 2 p.m.
Tickets for the semifinals are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and $3 for students/children 3 and older. Tickets for children under 3 are free. One ticket is good for admission to both semifinals. Click

Hamilton (12-11-2) edged Bowdoin College 2-1 in a NESCAC quarterfinal at Bowdoin on March 1. The Continentals finished fifth in the conference standings with 23 points and are the fifth seed for the championship. Hamilton reached the championship final in each of the last two years. The Continentals posted a 2-1 victory against Amherst in the 2024 conference semifinals at Amherst. The Continentals were 20th in the NCAA Division III Power Index (NPI) rankings as of March 5 and received votes in the March 3 USCHO.com Division III Women's Hockey Top 15 poll.
The Mammoths (19-5-1) cruised to a 4-0 victory against Connecticut College in a NESCAC quarterfinal on their home ice on March 1. Amherst finished first in the conference standings with 33.5 points and is the No. 1 seed for the championship. The Mammoths have won five NESCAC titles, most recently in 2023. Amherst swept the season series against Hamilton at home with a 5-1 win on Feb. 21 and a 1-0 overtime thriller on Feb. 22. Gretchen Dann was selected the 2025 conference defensive player of the year and goaltender Natalie Stott and forward Maeve Reynolds joined Dann on the all-NESCAC first team. The Mammoths lead the conference in goals allowed per game and faceoff winning percentage. Ayla Abban leads the NESCAC with 12 goals, Anna Baxter wins almost 68 percent of her faceoffs, and Emily Hohmann has a conference-best 55 blocked shots. Amherst is third in the NPI rankings and No. 6 in the USCHO.com poll. The Mammoths have allowed just two goals during their current five-game win streak.
