Women's hockey plays at Colby in NESCAC championship quarterfinals Feb. 28

Continentals have won their last six quarterfinal matchups

The Hamilton College Continentals travel to Waterville, Maine, for a 2026 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Hockey Championship quarterfinal against the Colby College Mules inside Colby's Jack Kelley Rink at the O'Neil | O'Donnell Forum on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m.

Hamilton has an 11-8-5 overall record and 7-6-3 mark in the NESCAC. The Continentals finished in fifth place in the conference standings with 25.5 points and are the fifth seed for this event. Hamilton has won its last six quarterfinal matchups and was the runner-up in the 2023 and 2024 championships. The Continentals have won the last three postseason meetings with Colby. Hamilton, which received votes in the Feb. 23 USCHO.com Division III Top 15 poll, was 20th in the NCAA Power Index (NPI) rankings through Feb. 25.
 
The Mules finished the regular season with a record of 16-6-1 and went 10-5-1 in the NESCAC. Colby ended up in fourth place in the conference standings with 31.5 points and is the fourth seed for the championship. The Mules reached the NESCAC final in 2008 and lost to Amherst College. Colby defeated the Continentals twice in Maine back in early January. The Mules are at No. 10 in the USCHO.com poll and the NPI rankings.
