ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College Bombers defeated the Hamilton College Continentals in all but one head-to-head race as part of the Cornell University Autumn Classic on Cayuga Inlet on Saturday morning, Nov. 1.
There were two rounds of racing with the first round at 9 a.m. and the second at 10. The course length was 4,000 meters in the first round, but it was shortened to 3,300 meters due to wind for the second round.
Hamilton's second varsity fours finished 41.6 seconds ahead of Ithaca with a time of 13:10.2 in the second round of racing. The varsity fours posted a time of 13:17.7 and the Continentals' frosh/novice eight finished in 14:08.5.
In the opening round of racing, Hamilton's varsity eight ended up nine seconds behind the Bombers with a time of 13:26.5. The Continentals' second varsity eight recorded a time of 14:42.6.
The Cornell event was the last one this fall for Hamilton, which will begin the spring season portion of its schedule in late March or early April 2026.
