Hamilton College's
Nathaniel Taft '27 (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde HS) was selected the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week on Tuesday, Nov. 25.

The award was the second of Taft's Hamilton career. He received the honor for his role in leading the Continentals to dual-meet wins against NESCAC foes Trinity College and Colby College on Nov. 23.

Taft was at least a part of four Trinity Natatorium records and broke the Hamilton team record in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 22.98 seconds. He also set pool records in the 50 freestyle (20.85 seconds) and the 100 free (46.06 seconds). Taft anchored the winning 200 free relay to another pool-record time (1:24.29), and he was the only swimmer that posted a 50-yard split time under 20 seconds in the event (19.69).

Taft and the Continentals compete in the three-day Massachusetts Institute of Technology Winter Invitational, which starts on Friday, Dec. 5.
