The Hamilton College men's squash team opened the 2025-26 season by splitting a pair of matches that were played on Nov. 15 and 16.
 
The Continentals cruised to an 8-1 victory against the Hobart College Statesmen inside Hamilton's Little Squash Center on Saturday, and dropped a 9-0 decision against the Amherst College Mammoths at Amherst's Davenport Squash Courts on Sunday afternoon. The Continentals are 25^th in the College Squash Association varsity team rankings. Hobart is ranked 32^nd and the Mammoths are 14^th.
 
Jacob Shulman '26 (first position) and Atreyus Bhavsar '26 (third) led Hamilton at the top of the ladder. Bhavsar recorded his 17^th career win. Jacob Li '29 and William Gianopulos '29 were winners at the fifth and seventh positions, respectively, in their first collegiate matches.
 
Joseph Applebaum '28 (fourth position) and Lucas Walden '28 (sixth), who were regulars in the lineup last season as first-years, got this season off to a good start. Jacob Stoffman '28 and Jamie Merrill '26 rounded out the bottom of the ladder with victories with Merrill picking up the first of his collegiate career.
 
Hamilton hosts Tufts University at Little Squash Center on Friday, Nov. 21 at 5 p.m.
