PHILADELPHIA – The Hamilton College Continentals dropped a heartbreaking 5-4 decision against the Bowdoin College Polar Bears in the Summers Cup final at the 2026 College Squash Association (CSA) Divisional Team Championships inside Arlen Specter US Squash Center on Sunday afternoon, March 1.

Hamilton (11-11 overall) fell 7-2 against Bowdoin at home back on Jan. 17. The Continentals were 23rd in the Feb. 23 CSA varsity team rankings and seeded third in the Summers Cup draw. The Polar Bears were 21st in the varsity team rankings and the No. 1 seed in the Summers Cup draw.

This matchup was worthy of a cup final as three of the nine matches went to five games. Carlo Caffuzzi '27 won one of those matches at the eighth position. Caffuzzi finished the season with a 9-4 record, including 5-2 against NESCAC opponents.

Atreyus Bhavsar '26, who was playing his last match with Hamilton, was a winner in four games at the second position. The victory was the 25th of his career.

Jacob Li '29 swept Bowdoin's Jai Karande in three games at the fifth position and completed a productive first season with the Continentals. Li played in all 22 matches and won 10 of them.

William Gianopulos '29 claimed the other Hamilton win in four games at the ninth position. Gianopulos led the Continentals with a 15-6 record and ended the season with a 10-match win streak.
