Women's soccer goes to Vermont for NESCAC championship quarters Nov. 1

Sixth-seeded Continentals and No. 3 seed Middlebury clash on Saturday at noon

The Hamilton College Continentals travel to Middlebury, Vt., to play the Middlebury College Panthers in a 2025 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Soccer Championship quarterfinal at Allan Dragone Track & Field Complex on Saturday, Nov. 1 at noon.

Hamilton (8-4-3 overall) finished in sixth place in the NESCAC standings with 16 points and a 5-4-1 record and is the sixth seed for the championship. The Continentals have won five straight matches and shut out their last three opponents. Head Coach Colette Gilligan recorded win No. 200 at Hamilton on Oct. 18 at Amherst College. The Continentals are 43rd in the NCAA Power Index (NPI) as of Oct. 28, and have a 4-2-2 record away from home.
 
Middlebury (10-2-3 overall) ended up in third place in the NESCAC standings with 18 points and a 5-2-3 record and are the third seed for the championship. The Panthers have won five conference titles, most recently in 2021. Middlebury is ranked 10th in the United Soccer Coaches Division III Top 25 poll and 11th in the NPI as of Oct. 28. The Panthers, who edged Hamilton 1-0 in New York back on Sept. 6, have a 4-1-2 record at home.
