WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Williams College Ephs posted a 3-0 win over the Hamilton College Continentals at Williams' Cole Field on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Season Update
- The Continentals (1-1 overall) played their first NESCAC match following a 7-0 win over Oswego State in their season opener on Saturday, Sept. 5.
- No. 10 Williams (2-0) defeated Bates College 1-0 in their season opener on Saturday.
How It Happened
- Hamilton's Corah Boller '29 recorded two saves in the first 13:41 of action before Lila Sullivan '29 put a shot on target toward the bottom left corner that was saved by Williams' Chelsea Mohammed.
- Diana Baffor '29 ripped a shot over the crossbar in the 20th minute.
- Williams' Isabel Konijnenberg found the back of the net in the 38th minute off a pass from Olivia Bevilacqua to put the Ephs in front, 1-0.
- Boller recorded two saves in the final 1:31 of the first half to keep the Continentals' deficit at one.
- Maya Lloyd scored her first goal of the season just over two minutes into the second half to double the Ephs' lead.
- Brooke St. John '30 and Haley Cramer '28 each put a shot on target that was saved by Mohammed in the 55th and 57th minutes, respectively, leading to the Continentals' first corner kicks of the match.
- Boller saved a shot by Lloyd in the 63rd minute, but Bria Abbiati converted the rebound to extend the Ephs' lead to 3-0.
