ROME, Ga. – Three Hamilton College men's tennis players competed in the 2025 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College on Thursday, Oct. 16.
 
Tarun Korwar '27 was one of 16 athletes in the NCAA Division III singles draw. Korwar played Denison University's Kael Shalin Shah, who was the draw's No. 2 seed, in the first round and fell by scores of 6-3 and 6-3.
 
Lleyton Mendieta '28 and Eerik Villem Aadamsoo '28 were one of 16 doubles teams in the NCAA Division III doubles draw. They played an epic match with Emory University's Matthew Johnstone and Ajay Kartik in the first round. Mendieta and Aadamsoo got off to a great start with a 6-1 win in the first set, but Johnstone and Kartik evened the match with a 6-3 victory in the second. The Emory duo went on to outlast Mendieta and Aadamsoo 11-9 in a third set super-tiebreaker.
 
The trio of Continentals qualified for the ITA Cup thanks to their outstanding performances in the ITA Division III Northeast Regional Championships at Skidmore College from Oct. 3 to Oct. 5. Korwar won six matches and captured the singles title. Mendieta and Aadamsoo prevailed in their first four matches and played in the doubles final. Anyone who competes in a regional singles or doubles final qualifies for the ITA Cup.
 
Korwar has a career singles record of 50-18 at Hamilton. Aadamsoo and Mendieta are 29-14 as a doubles team with the Continentals. Hamilton men's tennis continues its 2025-26 season with the dual-match portion of its schedule in March.
