MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. – The Hamilton College Continentals finished in third place out of 24 teams in the 2025 Golfweek Division III October Classic at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort's The Links Golf Club on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
Nationally ranked No. 18 Hamilton recorded a four-person team total of 303 for the second time during the three-day event (also on Oct. 12) and finished at 897 for 54 holes. No. 8 Williams College, which the Continentals were tied with for first place after Monday's round, captured the team title at 872. No. 7 Randolph-Macon College edged Hamilton for second place at 893. The event featured seven ranked teams in the current Division III Top 25 coaches poll.
Shanya Arasu '28 was 1-under-par on the front nine for the Continentals and ended up with a 1-over 73 in the third and final round. Arasu's performance tied a season best for 18 holes for the second straight day and she placed 17
th out of 119 golfers at 225 for the tournament.
Aubrey Lee '28 led Hamilton this week in a tie for 13
th place at 224 after a 76 on Tuesday.
Peyton Sichol '26 matched Lee's 76 and tied for 35
th place at 232.
Hellen Xiang '29 birdied the 18
th hole and carded a 78. Xiang tied for 18
th place one stroke behind Arasu at 226.
Keira Joshi '27 was at even par through the first seven holes and eventually posted a 79. Joshi tied for 24
th place at 229.
Hamilton picks up the 2025-26 season again in late March during spring break.
