Eshleman '25, Sattinger '24 collect baseball all-region honors

Sattinger was voted onto the D3baseball.com all-region team for the second time

Hamilton College baseball players Jackson Sattinger '24 (Port Washington, N.Y./Paul D. Schreiber HS) and Jack Eshleman '25 (Collegeville, Pa./Devon Preparatory School) were selected for two all-region teams on May 28.

Sattinger and Eshleman are on the 2024 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region Team for the first time. Eshleman was on the second team as a pitcher in Region 1 and Sattinger was on the third team as an outfielder. The teams are voted on by members of the ABCA and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Division III All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.

The duo also made the 2024 D3baseball.com All-Region Team as both were on the second team in Region 1. Sattinger collected his second D3baseball.com all-region team honor (1st team in 2023) while Eshleman was on it for the first time.

Sattinger is 24th in Division III with a .436 batting average (41-for-94), 30th with a .755 slugging percentage and 44th with a .517 on-base percentage in 27 games. He finished with an OPS of 1.272, 32 runs batted in, seven home runs, 16 stolen bases, 28 runs and 14 walks. His home run total tied a single-season program record.

Eshleman is 22nd in Division III with a 2.05 earned run average, 10th with a 0.91 WHIP, 26th with a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 5.75 and 34th with 6.32 hits allowed per nine innings. His opponents hit just .199 against him with one home run, and he struck out a program-record 69 batters. Eshleman finished with 57 innings pitched, a 4-1 record and three complete games in eight starts.

The Continentals ended the season with an overall record of 13-15. They went 6-6 in the NESCAC West Division and were the third seed from the West for the conference championship. Hamilton played Tufts University in the best two-out-of-three quarterfinal series.
