Three men's squash players compete in national championships

Rice '24 played in individuals and Suratt brothers participated in doubles

PHILADELPHIA -- Three Hamilton College men's squash athletes competed in the 2024 National Collegiate Individual Championships and the 2024 U.S. Intercollegiate Doubles Championship inside the Arlen Specter US Squash Center on Friday, March 8.
 
William Rice '24 lost in the first round of the Molloy West Division main draw against Drexel University's Youssef Bastawy in three games (11-7, 11-4, 11-3) in the early afternoon. Rice's Hamilton career ended in a consolation draw quarterfinal against Dickinson College's Omar Ali, who defeated Rice in four games (11-5, 11-2, 9-11, 11-6).
 
Tate Suratt '24 and Tobey Suratt '26 competed in the single-elimination men's open doubles draw. The brothers were outlasted in the first round by Brown University's Blake Roshkoff and Will McLaren in five games (7-11, 11-9, 8-11, 11-7, 12-10).
