Kaillie Briscoe Kelly '09 was the offensive leader on the 2008 national championship team

Hamilton College has selected Kaillie Briscoe Kelly '09 as the head coach of its women's lacrosse program after she enjoyed a standout playing career with the Continentals from 2006 to 2009.

Kelly has been the owner and director of Central Lacrosse since 2018 and the head coach of the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School girls' lacrosse team since the 2018 season. She has turned Lincoln-Sudbury into one of the top teams in Massachusetts in the past six years as the Warriors won their first Division I state championship since 1988 in 2023, and also made the state semifinals in 2022 and 2024. Lincoln-Sudbury has captured four Dual County League (DCL) titles during Kelly's tenure. She was named the 2024 DCL Coach of the Year and the 2023 Division I Coach of the Year by the Boston Globe.

"I am incredibly honored and grateful to return to Hamilton College as the head coach of the women's lacrosse program," Kelly said. "I want to extend my deepest thanks to (Director of Athletics) Jon Hind, (Associate Athletic Director/SWA) Deidre Pierson, (Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty) Ngonidzashe Munemo, and the selection committee for this incredible opportunity. As a proud alumna, it is truly a dream come true to be back on The Hill, where I had such a meaningful and transformative experience.

"I am thrilled to work with our student-athletes, guiding them through the same exceptional opportunities that were so impactful to me as a coach and a person. I'm especially excited to mentor and empower these strong, young women as they grow both on and off the field. It's an honor to build on the legacy of Hamilton women's lacrosse and contribute to the bright future of this program."

In 2024 Kelly served as an assistant coach and the offensive coordinator for the German Women's National Box Lacrosse Team. She was the director of lacrosse for Bosse Sports (2014 to 2020), the master coach and recruiting coordinator for 3d Lacrosse (2015 to 2018) and the offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator at Smith College during the 2012 and 2013 seasons. Kelly helped guide Smith to its first winning record in nearly 20 years, the quarterfinals of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference championship, an Eastern College Athletic Conference tournament runner-up finish, and team records for goals and draw controls in a season.

"The athletics department is excited to welcome back Kaillie Kelly '09, a decorated alumna and accomplished head coach to lead our women's lacrosse program into a new era," Pierson said. "Kaillie brings to the college her familiarity with the Hamilton student-athlete academic experience, a competitive spirit, and her infectious love for the game. Kaillie's background in teaching youth lacrosse, collegiate player development skills, coaching international players, and her positive approach will serve her well as she embarks on leading the program. We are excited to have her rejoin the athletics department."

At Hamilton, Kelly helped lead women's lacrosse to the 2008 NCAA Division III title. It remains the only national team championship in the College's history. The Continentals also made the 2009 NCAA semifinals and the 2007 national quarterfinals during Kelly's career. Hamilton's record was 65-12 and the team won three Liberty League championships during her four years. She was a two-time all-American, a four-time all-region selection and a three-time all-league pick. Kelly was on the 2009 Tewaaraton Award Watch List, an annual award for the most outstanding American college men's and women's lacrosse players, and was the 2009 female recipient of the Jack B. Riffle Award for the most outstanding senior student-athlete at Hamilton. She still holds team records for most career goals (206), assists (134) and points (340), and points in a season (107).

Kelly hails from Orangeville, Ontario. She has a bachelor's degree from Hamilton in psychology and a master's degree from Smith in exercise and sports science.
