Men's squash wins second straight against NESCAC opponent, 6-3

Seniors led the Continentals to the home victory against Connecticut College

CLINTON, N.Y. – The bottom half of Hamilton College's ladder was dominant in a 6-3 win over the Connecticut College Camels inside Hamilton's Little Squash Center on Saturday, Jan. 27.
 
The Continentals, who have won two in a row against NESCAC opponents, are 26th in the College Squash Association Team Rankings while Conn. College is 30th. Hamilton hosts Hobart College on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 2 p.m.
 
The Continentals' Tate Suratt '24 outlasted Hudson Dunn in five games at the second position as Suratt had to win the fourth and fifth games to pick up the team point. He moved to 5-4 this season and evened his record to 4-4 against conference teams.
 
Nicholas Carabatsos '24 prevailed in four games at the fifth position after he cruised in the first two. The win was the 16th of his Hamilton career.
 
Atreyus Bhavsar '26 (sixth position), Waleed Nisar '24 (seventh), Carlo Caffuzzi '27 (eighth) and Carter Furmanek '27 (ninth) swept their opponents in three games. Bhavsar improved to a team-best 6-3 this season, and Nisar collected his 10th career win. Caffuzzi clinched his fourth win and Furmanek celebrated his first with the Continentals.
 
Carabatsos, Nisar, Suratt, Amrit Aggarwal '24, Tripp Peters '24, William Rice '24 and Jacob Zeng '24 were honored during a senior recognition ceremony before the match.
