Hamilton College's
Connor Griff '25 helped lead the Continentals with a 4-2 combined singles and doubles record as they competed in the Swarthmore/Haverford Invitational from Sept. 22 to Sept. 24. Friday's matches were played at Swarthmore College's Faulkner Courts and Saturday's matches were played indoors at Haverford College due to rain. Sunday's action was held inside Vassar College's Walker Field House.
How It Happened
- Griff battled to a 7-6 (2), 6-4 victory against Swarthmore's Michael Melnikov.
- Anson Anderson '26 outlasted his Swarthmore opponent, 6-3, 0-6, 10-8.
- Tarun Korwar '27 rallied for a victory in three sets (2-6, 6-3, 8-6) against Swarthmore's Max Lindstrom.
- Hamilton won five of 11 singles and doubles matches with Haverford. Griff and Anderson picked up the Continentals' first doubles win of the weekend with an 8-4 decision.
- The doubles pairing of Charlie Sternberg '27 and Ignatio Tran '27 battled for an 8-7 (4) win.
- Griff fought hard for a three-set singles win (6-0, 4-6, 10-4) against Stefan Johnson.
- Korwar kept it going with 6-4, 6-2 triumph.
- Neal Gupta '26 recorded an 8-2 singles victory.
- Hamilton won two of the three doubles matches at Vassar starting with an 8-6 win for Coby Feldman '26 and Korwar.
- Sternberg and Tran tallied their second doubles win of the weekend.
- Griff cruised to his third win in singles action as he lost just two games.
- Korwar also picked up his third singles win of the weekend, this time over Eugene Lee.
- Feldman battled Vassar's Henry Zhang for a three-set win.
- Gupta recorded his second win with a triumph in straight sets.
