Women's track and field wraps up season at regional championships

Tratnyek '26 and Overstrum '24 competed in the AARTFC Outdoor Championships

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Hamilton College's Betsy Overstrum '24 and Claire Tratnyek '26 competed on the women's side of the 2023 All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Outdoor Championships at Susquehanna University's Doug Arthur Stadium on May 17 and 18.
 
Tratnyek finished in 27th place out of 37 athletes in the 400-meter dash with a season-best time of 59.54 seconds on Thursday afternoon. She qualified for the championships by recording a time of 59.99 seconds on April 14 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
 
Overstrum ended up in 21st place out of 23 runners in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:17.18 on Wednesday. Her fastest lap was the first full 400 meters as she finished that in 1:30.94.
 
The championships marked the end of the 2022-23 track and field season for the Continentals.
