COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Hamilton College's
Taylor Harris '26 and
Dana Schwartz '26 led the Continentals on the first day of the 2026 All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Outdoor Championships at Ursinus College's Patterson Field on Wednesday, May 13.
Harris captured first place out of 27 athletes in the women's 10,000-meter run with a time of 37:06.18. She didn't move into the lead until the final 1,500 meters, but ended up finishing more than 33 seconds ahead of the runner-up.
Schwartz took second place out of 26 athletes in the women's javelin throw with a distance of 40.23 meters (132 feet, 0 inches). She recorded that throw on her sixth and final attempt. Schwartz holds the team record and is sixth in NCAA Division III with a mark of 43.84 meters (143 feet, 10 inches) that she accomplished at the Monmouth University Season Opener back on March 27.
Tatiana McCray '28 finished 18
th out of 43 runners in the preliminary heats of the women's 100-meter dash with a personal-record time of 12.39 seconds.
Mia O'Neill '28 was 28
th in 12.64 seconds.
Charlotte Huck '28 landed in 10
th place out of 16 runners in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase with a personal-best time of 11:49.04.
Emmeline Stoetzel '28 finished in 20
th place out of 24 athletes in the women's long jump with a leap of 5.03 meters (16 feet, 6 inches). Stoetzel owns the team record in the event at 5.51 meters (18 feet, 1 inch).
Hamilton finished in 12
th place out of 26 teams in the women's 4x100-meter relay with a time of 48.37 seconds.
Mackenzie Loudon '29, McCray, O'Neill and
Marley Meyers '28 were the members of the relay that registered a season-best time and were just 11 one-hundredths of a second off the team record.
Hamilton is tied with Ithaca College and SUNY Delhi for fifth place with 18 team points through the completion of eight events. Harris scored 10 points and Schwartz added eight.
Stoetzel and Loudon kick off the final day of the championships with the triple jump at noon on Thursday, May 14.
Emily Pogozelski '26 gets the track events started with the 1,500-meter run at 12:30 p.m., followed by
Ruby Austin '29 in the 400-meter dash at 1:35.
Emma Chrismer '28, Nora Burroughs '29 and
Kate Scibelli '26 are in the 800-meter run at 2:20, and McCray runs in the 200-meter dash at 3:40. The 4x800-meter relay wraps up the meet at 4:10.
