CORTLAND, N.Y. – Hamilton College finished in fourth place out of seven teams at SUNY Cortland's Martin/Wallace Women's Golf Invitational, which was played at Cortland Country Club on April 15 and 16.
The Continentals received votes in the April 7 Women's Golf Coaches Association Division III Top 25 poll. Hamilton posted a four-woman team score of 310 on Saturday and came in with a 311 on Sunday for a tournament total of 621. Nationally ranked No. 12 Williams College captured the team title at 582, No. 13 Amherst College was runner-up at 585 and Middlebury College ended up third at 592.
Olivia Strigh '25 tied for 11
th place and led the Continentals with a career-best, 36-hole score of 151. Strigh's 76 in the first round and 75 in the second round were the best of each day for Hamilton.
Maddie Hong '23 tied for 15
th place out of 50 golfers at 154 after rounds of 78 and 76.
Peyton Sichol '26 tied for 24
th place at 158 after a pair of rounds of 79. Sichol, who entered the weekend with a team-best 18-hole stroke average of 77.08, has shot in the 70s in 13 out of 15 rounds this season.
Alaina McKeen '24 tied a career best with a 77 in the first round, and her tournament total of 159 is her best for the Continentals. McKeen played the par fives in 1-under and finished fifth in the tournament field with six birdies.
Sarah DeSanto '25 finished at 161 after rounds of 80 and 81.
Sofia Weinstein '24 tied for 21
st place at 157 playing as an individual. Weinstein carded a 75 on Sunday that matched Strigh and established her new career-low round.
Hamilton competes in Amherst's Jack Leaman Invitational at The Orchards in South Hadley, Mass., on April 22 and 23.
