MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Wesleyan University won four of six singles matches, including two in three sets, and the Cardinals recorded a 6-3 decision against the Hamilton College Continentals in NESCAC action at Wesleyan's John Wood Memorial Tennis Courts on Saturday, April 15.
Hamilton (2-10, 2-6 NESCAC) is 19
th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Top 20 regional team rankings in the Northeast Region. The Cardinals (7-7, 3-5) are ranked 18
th in Division III.
Connor Griff '25 improved to 19-5 this season after he outlasted Ben Mitchell in three sets at first flight singles. Griff is the sixth-ranked singles player in the region.
Nicolas Gritz '25 picked up his 16
th career win with a three-set victory against Chase Kasday at fifth flight singles.
Anson Anderson '26 and
Gianni Esposito '24 moved their record to 4-2 this season with a win at second flight doubles against Kasday and Harry Collomb.
