MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- The Hamilton College Continentals lost 7-2 to Middlebury College in the Summers Cup consolation draw as part of the 2023 College Squash Association National Collegiate Team Championships at Wesleyan University's Rosenbaum Squash Center on Saturday afternoon.

Hamilton fell to Massachusetts of Institute Technology by the same score in Friday night's Summers Cup quarterfinals. The Continentals will take on Colby College in the Summers Cup 7th-8th place match at Wesleyan on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 1 p.m. Colby defeated Hamilton 8-1 in Maine back on Jan. 13.

Tate Suratt '24 is 2-0 at the national championships after he defeated Middlebury's Will Lichstein in four games at the second position. Suratt leads the Continentals with six wins this season and has 24 in his Hamilton career.

Nicholas Carabatsos '24 also won in four games against the Panthers' Alex Stimpson at the ninth position. Carabatsos picked up his fifth win this season and evened his record at 4-4 against opponents from NESCAC teams.
