Bates College took two out of the three doubles matches and that turned out to be the difference in the Bobcats' 5-4 NESCAC win against the Hamilton College Continentals at Bates' Wallach Tennis Center on Sunday.

Hamilton (7-10, 1-9 NESCAC) is 20
th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Region team rankings while the Bobcats are 18
th. All three doubles matches were tight and one singles match went to three sets.

Connor Griff '25 was victorious in both singles and doubles action. Griff improved his record to 13-7 with a win at first flight singles in straight sets, and he and
Matt Bartok '23 evened their record as a doubles pairing at 6-6 with a triumph at first flight.

Eric Stein '23 won his 16
th career singles match as he prevailed in three sets at second flight.
Ethan Chin '25 was a winner in straight sets at sixth flight singles – his first victory against a NESCAC opponent.
