Three Hamilton College athletes have been selected for the 2022 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Baseball All-Conference Team.

Brady Slinger '22 (Nashville, Tenn./Montgomery Bell Academy) is one of 12 players on the first team.
Phil Bernstein '23 (Brooklyn, N.Y./The Berkeley Carroll School) and
Ethan Harrast '23 (Oak Brook, Ill./Hinsdale Central HS) are two of 11 players on the second team.

Slinger made the team as a utility player after he split time between the outfield and the middle infield positions. He posted one of the best offensive seasons in program history as he set single-season records for hits, runs batted in and stolen bases. He played in all 38 games.

Slinger is fifth in the NESCAC with a .411 batting average, second with 58 hits, tied for third with 41 runs scored, tied for fifth with 37 RBI and three triples, second with 31 stolen bases and tied for first with seven sacrifice flies. He is 14
th with a 1.017 on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS), 15
th with a .464 on-base percentage and 17
th with a .553 slugging percentage. Slinger, who was named the conference's player of the week on April 11, added eight doubles and two home runs.

Bernstein made the team as an outfielder for the second year in a row. He's 20
th with a .359 batting average and leads the conference with a team-record 49 runs scored. He's fifth with 52 hits, tied for fifth with 12 doubles, tied for sixth with 21 walks and third with 28 stolen bases. He is tied for 16
th with an on base plus slugging percentage (OPS) of .993 and is 18
th with a .552 slugging percentage. Bernstein added four home runs, two triples and 21 RBI, and handled 99 chances in center and left field without an error. He started all 36 games he appeared in and set another team record with 80 total bases this season.

Harrast made the team as an infielder for the second straight year. He is 11
th in the NESCAC with a .381 batting average, 14
th with a .471 on-base percentage and tied for 16
th with an on base plus slugging percentage (OPS) of .993 in 33 games. He's tied for 10
th with 37 runs scored, tied for 14
th with 43 hits and tied for 13
th with nine doubles. Harrast is tied for fourth with 22 walks and is fifth with 20 stolen bases. He added two triples, a home run and 24 RBI. Harrast ended up tied for 11
th with 67 assists at shortstop.

Hamilton (21-17 overall) set a team record for wins in a season and made its first postseason appearance after the Continentals took second place in the NESCAC West Division with a 7-5 mark. Hamilton won its best-of-three NESCAC championship quarterfinal series with Trinity College and was one strike away from a conference title before the Continentals finished as runners-up to Middlebury College. Hamilton ended up ranked fifth in Region I by the NCAA.
