Hamilton College's Connor Griff '25 won his singles match in the Continentals' 8-1 NESCAC loss against the Amherst College Mammoths at Amherst Tennis Courts on Saturday.
 
Hamilton (6-8, 1-7 NESCAC) is 20^th in the Northeast Region according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association team rankings. The Continentals are at Ithaca College for a non-conference match on Wednesday, April 27 at 4:30 p.m.
 
Amherst (9-6, 5-3) is ranked 18th in Division III by the ITA. The Mammoths have won the last five meetings with Hamilton dating back to 2013.
 
Griff finished off Damien Ruparel 7-3 in a second set tiebreaker at first flight. Ruparel is the seventh-ranked singles player in the Northeast Region. Griff improved his singles record to 12-5 this season.
