The Hamilton College Continentals dropped a 5-2 decision against NESCAC opponent Wesleyan University inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Saturday.
Since the match was played indoors and a limited number of courts were available at one time, once someone reached five team points, the match was halted. Two singles matches weren't played to completion.
Hamilton (4-2, 0-1 NESCAC) hosts Connecticut College for another conference match at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 27. Wesleyan (3-3, 2-0) is 26th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III team rankings.
Nicolas Gritz '25 improved his singles record to 6-3 with a victory in straight sets at fourth flight for the Continentals.
Gianni Esposito '24 is 7-1 in singles play this season after he triumphed in straight sets at fifth flight. Two of the three doubles matches went to a tiebreaker.
