The Hamilton College Continentals posted a 7-2 non-conference win over Birmingham-Southern College at USTA National Campus in Orlando on Saturday afternoon.
Hamilton has won both of their matches in Florida and the Continentals are 2-0 in dual matches this season. Hamilton takes on Oglethorpe University at USTA National Campus on Sunday, March 20 at 11:30 a.m.
Three singles matches ended with a player retiring early due to injury. The Continentals'
Nicolas Gritz '25 and
Gianni Esposito '24 were the beneficiary of that result at fourth and fifth flight, respectively. Esposito and
Eric Stein '23 teamed up for a win at third flight doubles, and Stein triumphed in straight sets at second flight singles.
Joe Reiner '22 didn't lose a single game at third flight singles, and
Mark Apsey '25 dropped just two games in his sixth flight singles match.
Matt Bartok '23 and
Connor Griff '25 claimed a victory at first flight doubles.
