Hamilton College's
Connor Griff '25 lost in the semifinals of the singles draw in the 2022 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Men's Division III Northeast Regional Championships at Drew University's Simon Forum on Sunday morning.

Griff was seeded fourth in the 64-player singles draw. It took top-seeded Aiden Drover-Mattinen of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to finally knock him out of the tournament, 6-4, 6-4. Both sets were tied at 4-4, but Griff was broken in his service games at 4-5 each time.Â

The sophomore won his first two matches on Friday and captured victories in the third round and quarterfinals on Saturday. Griff didn't drop a single set on the first two days of the championships. He finished the fall season with an 11-1 singles record.

The men's tennis team will pick up their 2022-23 season again in March. The Continentals are led by first-year Head Coach
