Hamilton College's Billy Geach '23 and Ramon Aroca Gonzalez '26 led the Continentals to fifth place out of 10 teams in the 2022 Binghamton University Matthews Auto Collegiate Men's Golf Invitational, which was held at The Links at Hiawatha Landing in Apalachin, N.Y., on Oct. 2 and 3.
 
Geach tied for fifth place out of 59 golfers with an even-par score of 144 for 36 holes. His tournament total tied his career best, which he first established at last year's Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational. Geach's 72 on Sunday was Hamilton's best round of the day.
 
Aroca Gonzalez tied for eighth place at 1-over 145. He fired a 1-under 71 on Monday that was the best round of the day for the Continentals. He leads the team with an 18-hole stroke average that is just over 73 per round.
 
Will Whittaker '25 tied for 35^th at 155 that included a final-round 74. Tommy Kantaros '24 tied for 41^st at 156 that included a 76 in the first round. Tyler Tornoe '25 contributed a 77 on Sunday.
 
Jacob Zeng '24 played as an individual and tied for 24^th place at 151. Zeng carded a career-best 71 in the first round on Sunday.
 
Hamilton held its own in a tournament that featured eight Division I teams. The Continentals posted a four-man team score of 299 and were tied for fourth place after the first round. Hamilton dropped back to fifth place on the final day despite recording a team score of 297 for a tournament total of 596. Lehigh University captured the team title at 575, La Salle University was runner-up at 581 and Niagara University was third at 589.
 
The Continentals wrap up the fall portion of their schedule with the Skidmore College Invitational at Saratoga Spa Golf Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., on Oct. 8 and 9.
