Hamilton College's
Connor Griff '25 is through to the semifinals of the singles draw at the 2022 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Men's Division III Northeast Regional Championships, which has been held at Drew University on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

Griff, who is seeded fourth in the 64-player singles draw, faces top seed Aiden Drover-Mattinen of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 9 a.m. The final is scheduled to start around 11:30 a.m. Click

Griff hasn't lost a set in four tournament matches leading up to Sunday's action. He opened with a 7-5, 6-0 win against Hobart College's Hyat Oyer and defeated RPI's Bryce Burnham 6-4, 6-3 on Friday. Griff was victorious 6-1, 6-2 against Hobart's Nick Fischer and triumphed over The College of New Jersey's Ronaldo Jacome 6-0, 6-3 in the quarterfinals on Saturday. Griff is 11-0 in singles this fall and 24-7 in his short Hamilton career.

The Continentals' two entries in the 32-team doubles draw advanced to Saturday's quarterfinals. Griff and
Matt Bartok '23, who were seeded in the top eight, dispatched a Vassar College pairing (8-3) and an opponent from New York University (8-5) on Friday. Griff and Bartok couldn't get past the No. 1 seed from RPI in the quarters. Bartok and Griff are 3-1 in doubles this fall.

Anson Anderson '26 and
Lorenzo Gunningham '26 edged their opponents from SUNY Oneonta 8-7 (7-2) in the first round, and cruised to an 8-2 victory on Friday against a pairing from NYU that was seeded in the top eight. Anderson and Gunningham's run ended in Saturday's quarters against a team from Hobart. The first-year duo has performed well this fall as they finished with a 7-3 record as a doubles pairing.
