The Hamilton College Continentals captured first place in six events in a dual meet against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at RPI's Robison Pool on Saturday afternoon.
Hamilton wrapped up the dual meet portion of its schedule with a 3-8 record with the 168-124 setback. The Continentals won't compete again until the 2022 NESCAC Women's Swimming and Diving Championship at Colby College. The four-day meet starts on Thursday, Feb. 10.
Hamilton took first place in the women's 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:41.65.
Sam Karlson '23 led off the relay and was followed by
Claire Campbell '22, Hannah Vogt '25 and
Emma DiGiacomo '25.
Karlson was a winner in the 100 free with a time of 54.40 seconds, and she was runner-up in the 100 backstroke in 1:00.88. Vogt landed in third place in the 50 free with a time of 26.12 seconds.
Emma Nordquist '25 grabbed the top spot in the 200 butterfly (2:13.61) and finished less than a half-second behind the winner in the 500 free (5:24.07).
Ashley Kolpan '24 was second to Nordquist in the 200 fly (2:16.06).
Lucy Hamann '22 won the 200 back with a time of 2:09.25 and finished just one one-hundredth of a second ahead of an RPI swimmer in the race of the day.
Irene Keh '24 finished more than 11 seconds ahead of her closest pursuer with a time of 2:31.48 in the 200 breaststroke.
Anna Edelson '23 touched the wall first in the 50 free with a time of 26.04 seconds.
Madison Goodman-Leong '25 finished second in the 100 fly (1:01.53) and the 1,000 free (11:11.29).
Jillian Rhodes '22 was runner-up in the 100 breast (1:11.02), and
Meredith Gioia '22 took second place in the 200 individual medley (2:17.14).
Katt Withers '25 ended up third in the 200 free (2:04.34).
