MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Hamilton College Continentals established three team records at the 2026 New England Small College Athletic Conference Women's Swimming & Diving Championships inside Wesleyan University's Webster Family Natatorium on Saturday, Feb. 14.
 
Hamilton moved up another spot to fifth place out of 11 teams with 684 points after three days. If the Continentals don't drop on the last day, it will be their best finish since 2004. Swimming preliminary heats on Sunday, Feb. 15 start at 10 a.m. and the finals begin at 5:30 p.m.
 
Charlotte Sorensen '28 set a team record and made an NCAA championships 'B' cut in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:28.62 in prelims. All-American Maggie Rosenbaum '14 had held the old record of 4:29.48 since 2014. Sorensen ended up finishing in fourth place in the evening finals.
 
Emma Robinson '26 broke a team record in the 1,000 freestyle that had stood since 2013 and finished fifth with a time of 10:24.51. McKenna Kelly '15 owned the previous best of 10:27.69.
 
Hamilton posted another team record and an NCAA 'B' cut in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:44.15. The members of that relay were Paige Wielgus '28, Megan Janczyk '29, Jade Matthias '26 and Chloe Lan '28. That same foursome set the previous mark of 1:44.39 earlier this season in December at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
 
Matthias lowered her NCAA 'B' cut time in the 100 backstroke by nearly a full second with a time of 55.61 seconds in prelims. She finished fourth in the event finals later that night.
