The Hamilton College Continentals were edged 5-4 by Dickinson College in a suspenseful home match at Little Squash Center on Saturday afternoon.
Hamilton's record this season dipped to 3-7 as Dickinson improved to 2-7. The Continentals are 28th in the College Squash Overall Team Rankings while Dickinson is 23rd.
Oliver Constable '23, Graham Nielsen '22 and
Rufus Somerby '22 were honored before the match during a senior recognition ceremony. Hamilton is scheduled to host Colgate University on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 1 p.m. before the Continentals travel to Vassar College on Sunday, Jan. 30 for a 2 p.m. match.
All of Hamilton's wins were at the bottom half of the ladder.
William Rice '24 and
Blake Davis '25 swept their opponents at the sixth and ninth positions, respectively. Both players earned their fourth victory this season.
Tate Burgin '25 and
Tripp Peters '23 prevailed in four games at the seventh and eighth positions, respectively. Burgin is tied for the team lead with five wins while Peters collected his 13
th career victory.
