Hamilton College's
Pauline Santry '21 (Chestnut Hill, Mass./Middlesex School) and
Perrin Salewood '21 (St. Louis, Mo./John Burroughs School) have been selected 2021 Pocock Women's All-America Athletes by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA).
CRCA Pocock All-America Athletes release
Santry is on the first team in Division III and Salewood is on the second team. The honor is the first for both rowers as only 18 athletes are 2021 Division III all-Americans.
The student-athlete's head coach must be a member in good standing with the CRCA, must meet all eligibility rules as defined by her institution, must have rowed at least 75 percent of the season's races in the varsity boat and must be nominated by her institution. Boat performance, nomination rank, coach's comments, individual achievements and 2,000-meter erg score are the criteria considered for selection.
Santry and Salewood were all-NESCAC first team selections back in May. They helped Hamilton's varsity eight finish in third place at the 2021 NCAA Division III Rowing Championship. The Continentals were runners-up in the championship team standings, which was their best finish in three NCAA appearances. Hamilton's varsity eight was ranked as high as No. 2 in the Division III Top 15 coaches poll -- the highest position in team history -- during the spring. The Continentals landed in first place in the varsity eight at the NESCAC West Division event and were second at the NESCAC championship this spring.
