Senior ended his Hamilton career on a high note at NCAA championships

Hamilton College's Lucas Wright '21 (Severna Park, Md./McDonogh School) has earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-America honors for the 2021 NCAA Division III outdoor track and field season.

2021 USTFCCCA D3 Outdoor All-America release

Wright finished in eighth place in the men's 800-meter run final with a time of 1:54.28 at the 2021 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Greensboro, N.C., on May 29. Athletes of member institutions who finished in the top eight of their respective individual events at the NCAA championships took home honors.

Wright's all-America award is the first of his Hamilton career. He's the first male outdoor all-American for the Continentals since the three-year run by the legendary Peter Kosgei '11 from 2007 to 2009, and the fifth Hamilton male outdoor all-America athlete in team history.
