COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – A record-breaking performance by Hamilton College's
Calvin Kulik '29 was the highlight for the Continentals on the second and final day of the 2026 All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Outdoor Championships at Ursinus College's Patterson Field on Thursday, May 14.
Kulik finished in third place out of 21 athletes in the men's discus throw with a distance of 47.22 meters (154 feet, 11 inches). He unleashed the record-setting throw on his third attempt, but had already broke the 39-year-old record on his previous try with a mark of 45.63 meters. Scott Fisher '89 had held the old record of 45.44 meters since May 8, 1987.
Luke Ferraiolo '29 landed in 10
th place out of 27 athletes in the men's 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.31. Ferraiolo's performance was less than seven-tenths of a second off his personal-best time.
Ian Fisher '29 ended up in 18
th place out of 26 runners in the men's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.78 seconds. Fisher set the team record in the event at the 2026 NESCAC championships with a time of 53.43 seconds.
Kulik's showing gave Hamilton six team points and the Continentals finished the meet in 19th place in the team standings with 15.
