LA CROSSE, Wis. – Hamilton College's
Jack Quinn '27 finished in 10
th place in his heat and 20
th out of 22 athletes overall in the first round of the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse's Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex on Thursday evening, May 21.
Quinn posted a time of 9:18.06 and his fastest 400 meters was his first lap at 1:12.07. The 12
th and last qualifier for the steeplechase finals recorded a time of 9:07.92.
Quinn qualified for the championships with the 22
nd-ranked time in the steeplechase with a personal-best 9:06.11 that he recorded at the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) championships in late April. Quinn was competing in the national meet for the first time. He earned NCAA Division III all-region honors for the steeplechase from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
