Pooley scored all her goals in the opening 30 minutes, starting with her first less than one minute after the opening draw to give Hamilton an early 1-0 lead. Pooley collected the ball at the top of the 12-meter fan, outmaneuvered one defender, spun around another and skipped the ball off the turf into the back of the net at 29:08. Ithaca's Herr scored two straight at 28:08 and 27:31 for the 2-1 lead.

Pooley scored her second of the half to tie the game 2-2 at 25:59 when Philbrick sent a high centering pass to Pooley who squared up to the net and whipped the ball inside the far post.

Ithaca's Panara and Hamilton's Simson exchanged goals 26 seconds apart to make the score 3-3 with 22:28 remaining in the first stanza. The Bombers took the 5-3 lead with goals from Herr at 19:42 and Katie Welch at 15:57, but Pooley netted her third goal at 15:31 to cut Hamilton's deficit back to one.

The Bombers scored four more times before halftime, but goals by Pooley and Philbrick kept the game within reach at 9-6 going into the break. Philbrick was on a mission with her goal at 4:23 when she controlled the draw, raced past three Bombers and threaded the needle with a shot through four crashing defenders into the upper right corner of the nylon.

The visitors took control of the game with six unanswered goals at the start of the second half to extend their lead to 15-6 with 22:04 remaining in the contest. Ithaca had the 18-7 shot advantage during the second half and finished the game with a 37-19 edge.

Hamilton hits the road on Saturday, April 28 for a NESCAC Championship quarterfinal game at noon at Middlebury College. The nationally ranked No. 6 Panthers are seeded first and the Continentals are eighth.
