The Hamilton College Continentals had little trouble in defeating the Brooklyn College Bulldogs by a score of 9-0 in non-conference action at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Fla., on Friday evening.
Hamilton (1-7 overall) won its first dual match of 2017-18 and gave first-year head coach Matt Brisotti his first men's coaching victory with the Continentals. Brisotti had already guided the women to a pair of wins in Florida.
Hamilton returns to the courts on Saturday, March 31 for a non-conference match at home against St. Lawrence University at noon.
Sam Farber '20 and Rob Dotterer '21 teamed up to win at first flight doubles before Farber picked up a victory at first flight singles and Dotterer triumphed at second flight singles. Matt May '21 and Andrew Wei '20 prevailed at second flight doubles, and May didn't lose a game in his fifth flight singles match.
Matt Zeitler '20 was the Continentals' fourth double winner in singles and doubles play. Zeitler and Tim Derby '21 breezed to victory at third flight doubles and Zeitler cruised to the 6-0, 6-0 win at sixth flight singles.
Eyad Nagori '18 and Matthew Haas '19 claimed Hamilton's other singles victories at third and fourth flight, respectively. Nagori dropped just one game and Haas didn't lose any.
