Dotterer '21 perfect in three matches on busy day for men's tennis

The Hamilton College Continentals dropped a pair of non-conference matches at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Fla., on Thursday.

Hamilton (0-7 overall) was edged 5-4 by Hope College and then fell 6-3 against Grinnell College in the evening. The Continentals take on Brooklyn College in their last Florida match on Friday, March 23 at 5:30 p.m. back at the USTA National Campus.

Rob Dotterer '21 starred for Hamilton as he won both his first flight doubles matches with Sam Farber '20 and triumphed in straight sets against Grinnell's Zach Lane at second flight singles (7-5, 6-0).

Max Zimmerman '21 and Tim Derby '21 were winners at second flight doubles against Hope, and Matthew Haas '19 and Matt May '21 were victorious in straight sets at third and fourth flight singles, respectively.

Zimmerman added a 6-3, 6-3 win against Grinnell's Sam Stickels at third flight singles. Grinnell improved its overall record to 11-4.
