The Hamilton College men's tennis team cruised to a 7-2 win over visiting Rochester Institute of Technology Sunday in a match played indoors at Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House. Playing for the first time since returning from their spring trip to Florida, the Continentals improved to 4-7 overall.
Sam Farber '20 and Jon Cohen '17 were double winners for Hamilton. Farber rallied after dropping the first set to post a second singles win that raised his season record to 10-4. In doubles play he and Max McKee-Proctor '17 topped their opponents at the second spot. Cohen was a straight-set winner at fourth singles – he's now 8-8 on the year – and was half of the winning team at third doubles, where he and Devin White '17 posted a shutout victory.
Three other Continentals were winners in singles competition. Burke Paxton '17 rallied from a set down to beat his third singles opponent and Andrew Wei '20 and Matthew Haas '19 claimed straight-set victories at number five and six, respectively. Wei is now 6-4 and Haas' record is a team-best 11-3.
