The Hamilton College men's tennis team won two out of three doubles matches but Babson College emerged with the 6-3 non-conference win at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla., on Wednesday.
The Continentals (2-5 overall) will wrap up their Florida trip with non-conference matches against Grinnell College at 3 p.m. and the Savannah College of Art and Design on Thursday, March 23. Babson (4-4) was 16th in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Region team rankings.
Matthew Haas '19 cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 victory at sixth flight singles for Hamilton. Haas is tied for the team lead with seven singles victories this season.
The Continentals got off to a great start by earning two team points in doubles competition. Sam Farber '20 and Max McKee-Proctor '17 posted an 8-6 triumph at second flight doubles, and Jon Cohen '17 and Devin White '17 pulled out an 8-5 win at third flight.
