Continentals back on winning track after topping Tigers

The Hamilton College men's tennis team snapped a four-match losing streak by topping visiting Rochester Institute of Technology 6-3 in a non-conference match played inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House. The Continentals are now 4-5 on the season.

The Continentals won four singles matches – all in straight sets – to pull away from a 2-1 lead after doubles play. Lars Scannell '19 raised his record to a team-leading 8-4 by sweeping his opponent at the fifth spot. At third flight, Jon Cohen '17 won for the fifth time in six matches to improve to 7-5 on the year. Ian Antonoff '16 and Burke Paxton '17 were winners at number four and six, respectively.

In doubles play, the number two tandem of Austin Lokre '16 and Max McKee-Proctor '17 posted an 8-4 victory. Cohen teamed with Eyad Nagori '18 to beat RIT's third doubles entry.

The Continentals travel to Hobart for a 4 p.m. non-league match Wednesday.
