HARTFORD, Conn. — Hamilton College's
Lila Sullivan '29 scored a brace and
Kate Giglio '28 added her first career goal as the Continentals posted a 3-0 victory over the Trinity College Bantams at the Trinity Soccer Field on Saturday, Sept. 19.
Season Update
- The Continentals (4-1 overall) improved to 2-1 in NESCAC play.
- Trinity (2-2) was coming off a 2-0 win against UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
How It Happened
- Hamilton opened the scoring in the seventh minute. Sullivan found the back of the net at the 6:44 mark to give the Continentals an early 1-0 lead.
- The Continentals held their advantage through the remainder of the first half. Hamilton outshot Trinity 9-5 during the opening 45 minutes.
- Giglio doubled Hamilton's lead just 1:32 into the second half, scoring at the 46:32 mark to put the Continentals ahead 2-0.
- Sullivan added her second goal of the game in the 56th minute with an assist from Diana Baffor '29 and extended the lead to 3-0.
- Hamilton's defense held Trinity scoreless for the remainder of the contest. Olivia Connolly '27 made two saves to record the shutout.

- Sullivan registered her second multi-goal match of the season and ranks second in the NESCAC with six goals on the year.
- Baffor registered her first point of the season.
- Hamilton outshot Trinity 19-8 overall, including a 9-3 advantage in shots on goal.
