DELHI, N.Y. – Hamilton College's
Liza Beigel '28 posted a team-high 13 digs and tied a career best with three aces in the Continentals' three-set, non-conference win against the SUNY Delhi Broncos inside Delhi's Floyd L. Maines Arena on Friday evening, Sept. 11.
Season Update
- Hamilton (2-1 overall) opened the 2026 season by splitting two matches at Smith College's Bonnie May Invitational on Sept. 5.
- The Broncos (1-4), who play in the SUNYAC, lost their fourth straight match.
How It Happened (25-6, 25-18, 25-10)
- The Continentals jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the first set and ended the set with 15 straight points.
- Hamilton never trailed in the second set, but Delhi was still within a point at 14-13. The Continentals ran off the next seven points and seized control of the set. Elodie McGeiver '27 had three kills and a solo block during the run.
- Hamilton scored the first three points in the third set and led the whole way. The Continentals closed out the match with eight consecutive points.
Notes
- Friday night's meeting was the first between the teams.
- Grace Seaman '29 smacked a team-high seven kills. Seaman leads Hamilton with 23.
- Lucy Proud '29 passed out a team-best 12 assists and tops the Continentals with 41 this season.
- Grace Jansen '29 chipped in 11 assists and three aces. Jansen has served a team-high eight aces.
- Hamilton held a huge advantage in kills (32-11) and aces (10-1).
- The Continentals recorded 10 kills with no errors in 20 total attacks in the first set.
