Women's tennis drops NESCAC match at Amherst

Continentals aim to return to the win column at Bates on Saturday, April 11

CLINTON, N.Y. – The Amherst College Mammoths defeated the Hamilton College Continentals 7-0 in a NESCAC match at the Amherst Tennis Courts on Saturday, April 4.
 

Season Update

  • Nationally ranked No. 48 Hamilton (8-4, 2-3 NESCAC) was coming off a 7-0 victory against Trinity College on March 29.
  • The 16th-ranked Mammoths (7-3, 4-1) extended their win streak to four matches.
 

How It Happened

  • Amherst won all three doubles matches and picked up the team doubles point.
  • The Continentals took the Mammoths to a third set at No. 4 singles and No. 6 singles, but Amherst ultimately prevailed in those matches.
 

Notes

Saturday was the first time Hamilton didn't register a team point in 12 matches this spring.
