No. 39 women's tennis coasts to 7-0 NESCAC win against Trinity

Five Continentals were winners in singles and in doubles against the Bantams

CLINTON, N.Y. – Five Hamilton College women's tennis players won their singles and doubles matches as the Continentals cruised to a 7-0 NESCAC victory against the Trinity College Bantams inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Sunday, March 29.
 

Season Update

  • The 39th-ranked Continentals (8-3, 2-2 NESCAC) won for the fifth time in their last six matches.
  • Trinity (3-7, 0-5) dropped its third straight match – all by 7-0 decisions.
 

How It Happened

  • Hamilton picked up the team doubles points by sweeping the three doubles matches, including a 6-0 result at No. 2.
  • The Continentals won all six singles matches in straight sets. Muhan Cui '28 lost just two games in her No. 6 match.
 

Notes

  • Hamilton extended its win streak against the Bantams to seven matches.
  • Hannah Walpole '26 has a 6-5 record in singles and in doubles in this spring's dual matches. Walpole has played No. 1 singles in all 11 matches.
  • Priyanka Challapalli '27 improved her record to 5-4 at No. 2 singles.
  • Grace Qian '27, who won at No. 3 singles, has a 6-4 singles record and 7-4 doubles record this spring.
  • Mona Farah '29 has been the hottest player for the Continentals this spring. Farah is undefeated in singles this spring at 9-0 after her victory at No. 4, and a team-best 9-2 in doubles matches.
  • Samantha Rainero '26 triumphed at No. 5 singles and moved her record to 7-4. Rainero is just behind Farah in doubles with a 7-2 record.
  • Cui is tied with Rainero with seven singles wins this spring and has a 7-2 record.
  • Sara Rock '29 is still perfect in doubles action this spring with a 3-0 mark.
  • The No. 1 doubles team of Challapalli and Walpole and the No. 2 pairing of Farah and Qian are tied for the lead in doubles wins this spring with five.
  • Rainero and Rock have won both their matches as a doubles team in 2026.

Hamilton travels to Amherst College (6-3, 3-1) for another conference match on Saturday, April 4. The action starts at 1 p.m.
